Travel Trailer
A travel trailer is a trailer that provides facilities for human habitation and is designed to
be used temporarily for recreational, seasonal, or emergency purposes. Travel trailers
can be up to 8 ½ feet wide in travel position and (except tent trailers) have four
permanent walls when in travel position.

Truck
Trucks are designed or used to carry loads other than passengers.
• If your truck is over 26,000 pounds you need to contact Commerce and Compliance
(CCD); if the vehicle can be registered with DMV you will need a Registration
Certification.
• If the vehicle has a taxable gross weight of 55,000 pounds or more you must provide a copy of the Heavy Vehicle
Use Tax Return (IRS Form 2290
).
• When registering a commercial truck, your signature on the application certifies that you comply with federal drug
and alcohol testing requirements. To find out if you are subject to this federal law, contact CCD.
• A Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) Certificate of Compliance may be required if you are in a DEQ area.
• Registration is valid for the amount of quarters you apply for, up to one year.
• If you also need a title, follow the title instructions; otherwise, complete a Registration Application.
