Assembly is easiest with two people.
Assembly
NOTE: Illustrations show 8" H boards. For video instructions, go to gardeners.com
Boards may have a rough and a smooth side.
1. Align the short edges of two " or four " BOARDS (smooth sides facing down) and clamp or hold them firmly together.
2. Slide a CORNER onto the ends of the BOARDS, positioning it as shown in Figure 1. The top BOARD should come to sit ⅛"
above the top of the CORNER.
3. Making sure there is no gap between BOARDS and that they are fully seated into the CORNER, secure with PHILLIPS SCREWS.

4. Repeat Steps - to attach another CORNER to the other end.
5. Take a PLATFORM SUPPORT and place the face with holes against the BOARDS as shown in Figure . Align the holes on
the ends with the holes you left open in Step and secure with PHILLIPS SCREWS.
6. Slide FLAT STOCK underneath the PLATFORM SUPPORT and align holes as shown in Figure 1. Secure the FLAT STOCK with
PHILLIPS SCREWS.
7. Repeat Steps - to assemble the other side panel.

8. Use a rubber mallet to tap a pre-assembled ' END PANEL into the open channel of a CORNER, positioning it so the CROSS
SUPPORT sits under the PLATFORM SUPPORT on the ' side panel as shown in Figure 2. Ensure END PANEL is fully seated and ⅛"
above the top of the CORNER, then secure with PHILLIPS SCREWS as shown. Repeat to attach the remaining ’ END PANEL to the
other end.
9. Place the remaining ’side panel on a flat surface. Carefully guide the ends of the ’ END PANELS of your partially assembled
box into the open channels of the CORNERS. Secure with PHILLIPS SCREWS. Once all panels are attached, stand your Planter
Box right side up and tap a CORNER CAP into the top of each aluminum CORNER.
10. Install the CROSS SUPPORTS to and under the PLATFORM SUPPORTS as shown in Figure 3. Secure with SCREWS from the
top.
11. Insert the FLOOR PLANKS, leaving small gaps between them (this will allow water to drain). Then, insert the FABRIC LINER.
Filling and Planting
Fill your Planter Box with a lightweight potting mix. Do not use a heavy garden soil as that may overload your planter. Add
some organic matter, such as compost and a slow-release fertilizer for best results. You're now ready to add your plants!
