Level II Coach-In-Training
Post-Level II Coach Training Requirements
Downloading Post Level II Coach Training documents.
Login to your LITMOS coach account (http://university.thefirsttee.org) and download and save the Post Level II
Coach Training document. Your post Level II Coach Training document must be submitted as one WORD or PDF
document. Document must be typed. No handwritten document or pages will be accepted. It comes in WORD
format and can be saved and submitted in the same format. You have 365 days from the last day of Level II training
to complete and submit your documents.
Playing Requirements
Play at least five (5) 9-hole rounds of golf with at least two participants per round. Participants can be from
any Life Skills level. Must include the scorecards signed by the coach and participants. If unable to scan into the
packet, fill in the scorecard template provided in the packet for each round played.
Life Skills Teaching Requirements
PLAYer
- Coach one session of PLAYer.
- Create and develop (write) lesson plans for all PLAYer nine core lessons. Coaches can use The First
Tee of Fort Worth Lesson Plan template.
- Deliver (teach) all nine core lessons.
- Complete one Intermediate level PLAYer lesson plan (PLAYer Core Lessons 4, 5, or 6) using the
lesson plan template provided. A Good-Better-How must be included.
- All elements of the lesson plan template in the packet must be completed.
Birdie
- Coach one session of Birdie.
- Create and develop (write) lesson plans for all Birdie six core lessons. Coaches can use The First Tee
of Fort Worth Lesson Plan template.
- Deliver (teach) all six Birdie core lessons.
- Complete one Birdie core lesson plan using the lesson plan template provided. A Good-Better-How
must be included. All elements of the lesson plan template in the packet must be completed.
Conducting Certification Requirements
- Conduct a Birdie level certification with at least three (3) Birdie participants.
- Birdie participant’s database ID numbers must be included when completing this part of your
documentation.
- Birdie participants do not have to pass the certification to fulfill this requirement.
Complete Critical Thinking Assignment (Book Review)
- Read one of the following approved books, and answer questions, (book review).

Extraordinary Putting: Transforming the Whole Game by Fred Shoemaker
Customer Mania! Ready to Serve by Ken Blanchard
- Copies of “The Inner Game of Golf” and “Customer Mania! Ready to Serve,” are on the top shelf in
the back office at the Ben Hogan Learning Center.
