Provide high-quality learning opportunities within and beyond the
school day so that students are motivated to come to school every day.
Actively recruit scholars to participate in the afterschool program that
extends the learning day for an additional 2 ½ hours with enrichment, &
academic activities, field trips, and daily meals. Transportation is
provided.
English Learners
By the end of the current school year, the total percent of EL
scholars in attendance will increase from 92.9% to 95%.
Provide language support to bridge the communication gap between
the school and parents. Parents will receive a phone call or message
from their child’s teacher after one absence, home visit from Family
Engagement Specialist or other staff member after two consecutive
unexcused absences, administrator contact after three consecutive
unexcused absences.
The Family Engagement Specialist will engage the support of a
Spanish-speaking interpreter. Establish two-way internal and external
communication in the home language with EL families and the school.
Actively recruit scholars to participate in the afterschool program that
extends the learning day for an additional 2 ½ hours with enrichment,
ELL & academic activities, field trips, and daily meals.

to 96%, grade 1 from 92.8% to 96%, and grade 5 from 93.4% to

message will be sent from the classroom teacher after one absence, a
home visit from the Parent Engagement Specialist or other staff

contact after three consecutive unexcused absences.
